A few quiet moments with a book
in a comfortable chair isn’t much to ask for, is it?
For a parent of young children, it is. During my ten
years home with our sons, there was always a little
more chaos than peace: sticks were swords, trash was
treasure, the sink was filled with magic potions. It
was during the unexpected quiet that I managed to
capture some except-ional moments, the seeds for
numerous stories that have since been read by
parents nationwide.
Presented as a
collection of essays, Take Ten: Meditations for the Hurried Parent
explores moments of joy, frustration, humor and self-discovery in
the often-hectic world of parenting.
