Betty lives in St. George, Utah, where she is a member of the Heritage Writers Guild, conducts workshops, and works as Associate Editor for Southern Utah Magazines. Her writing has won awards at the local, state and national levels, and her book, WALKIN’ THE FLOOR, was a Gold Quill Award winner at the League of Utah Writers competition in 2003.  Her second book, THE GREAT AMARILLO EGG CAPER & Other Stories won the Diamond Award in 2005.  Eleven of the seventeen stories in the compilation are previous award winners.
